About This Blog

Many who heard about my plans for the leave I take from teaching at Linn-Benton Community College and Oregon State University have asked me to keep you up-to-date on my activities. In September I started to visit programs that focus on sustainable food systems and ecological agriculture. I will visit a wide variety of programs including hands-on farmer training programs and academic programs in green technologies that offer certificates, 2-year and 4-year degrees. My goal is to learn as much as possible from these visits and to integrate what I learned into a long term vision for the Horticulture and Agriculture programs at Linn-Benton Community College.
